Day Trips & Extended Tours from Kinsale

Cork city

Cork City

Take in all that Ireland's ‘real capital’ has to offer. There is no end to the highlights for you to experience, including Blarney Castle, the English market, St Finbarrs Cathedral, the historic emigrant town of Cobh and the Jameson Whiskey tour in Midleton.

Mizen head

West Cork

It's no wonder that they call West Cork ‘a place apart’. Nature sets the pace in this beautiful south west corner of Ireland. Stretching from smart south coast Kinsale to three rugged westerly peninsulas reaching into the wild Atlantic, Mizen head, Sheeps head and Beara.

Ring of Kerry

Ring of Kerry

Out at the edge of Europe, on south west Irelands wild atlantic seaboard, the ring circles the Iveragh peninsula. It takes visitors through magnificent natural beauty. But it’s the lovely contrast between the warmth of the people and the elemental nature of the place that makes it so special and worth slowing down to explore.

Dingle Peninsula

Dingle peninsula

At the very edge of Europe, as far west as you can go, is the breathtaking Dingle peninsula. Once described by National Geographic as ‘the most beautiful place on earth’ it’s a place of spectacular seascapes and landscapes shaped by the elements with a wild and rugged coastline of steep cliffs and wide sandy beaches.

Cliffs of Moher

Cliffs of Moher and the Burren

The iconic Cliffs of Moher are one of Irelands most visited natural attractions, stretching for 8km along the Atlantic coast, the cliffs reach 214 meters at their highest point at Knockardakin. The Burren is one of the largest and most accessible karst regions in the world. It is the only place on the planet where Arctic, Mediterranean and Alpine plants grow side by side.

Rock of Cashel

Kilkenny and the Rock of Cashel

The Rock of Cashel is an ancient royal site of the kings of Munster. It's origins as a centre of power go back to the 4th or 5th centuries. In the city of Kilkenny, the picturesque ‘medieval mile’ of narrow lanes and historic buildings stretches between castle and cathedral along the banks of the river Nore. Kilkenny is a centre for arts and crafts and home to a host of fine restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops.

Waterford

Waterford and the Copper Coast

On the south east tip of Ireland, Waterford is Ireland's oldest city. It was founded by the Vikings in 914 ad and parts of its ancient walls remain. Famed glass manufacturer Waterford Crystal began here in 1783. Today the company’s facility near the historic district offers factory tours. The Copper coast is known for its panoramic seascapes, cliffs bays and coves and is considered to be one of the most beautiful scenic drives in the world.

Testimonials

Julie and I wanted to take the opportunity to express our appreciation for you attention, advise, kindness, Irish spirit, and extraordinary service as our driver/guide for our two week visit to Ireland. Though we had generally planned out our wish list of places to visit and things to see, your ability to suggest alternatives when the weather or events suggested a need to do so was just what was needed. Your kindness, attention to detail, knowledge of Irish history and where to enjoy a local resturant, pub, or Irish music made us look forward to each day. i know i made you stop often to take the perfect photo to record our trip, but each time you were happy to accommodate me in a thoughtful way and often suggested a better alternative. I assure you when we return again, and we will, you will be the first person i retain to accompany us on the visit. best wishes and thanks again for all you did to make our visit so memorable.

Bob and I would like to thank you for a fantastic trip. You have such an amazing way of making everything just perfect and seamless. Your knowledge is extraordinary, you’re wit and your ability to switch plans (storm Ophelia) and make things right was outstanding. We hope someday to return and catch what we missed...Cork, killarney, ring of Kerry... and look forward to meeting you again. Since you made us so aware of my roots, I now look forward to really exploring exactly where the O’Briens of New York came from originally.

Thank you so much for making our trip the 'trip of a lifetime'. You gave us many new memories for future storytelling.

- Barbara and Bob Koster (NJ)

I have dreamed of visiting Ireland since I was a small child, and this trip exceeded the frontiers of my imagination. Your knowledge, wit, energy and sense of adventure illuminated our holiday every bit as much as the remarkable scenery. Thank you for this week. I will never forget it.

- Kelly Vaziri (Ohio)

Thank you so much for going above and beyond to show us Ireland at its best and most beautiful. Our experience would have been nowhere near what it was without your kindness, humour and patience.

- Elizabeth Vaziri (Ohio)

As I write this my Mum is crying because of how happy this trip has made her, typical! We owe that very much to you. Thanks for being such a fun guide for us. I’ll try not to jump into any more bogs.

- Maddie Vaziri (Ohio)

My family and I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places around the world and have had excellent guides along the way.

My recent trip to Ireland was no exception. Although our family enjoyed many of the same activities David was able to suggest alternative activities (like incredible special hikes for an adventurer) making for wonderful days for everyone. His flexibility with schedule changes, suggestions for non-touristy sites and places to eat or enjoy, coupled with his calm demeanor and good sense of humor made for a fantastic trip.

I so hope to be in his capable hands again!
